My research interest centers on aesthetics and semiotics partly in relation to music together with visual and verbal expressions (e.g. music in films and commercials), partly in relation to music itself. In both respects, this interest concerns textual analysis as well as empirical studies of the cognitive and psychophysiological response. The latter has resulted in an interest in method combination and data visualization. I have conducted research in cooperation with colleges at AAU (e.g., Nicolai Graakjær and Birger Larsen) and researchers from elsewhere (music and media studies at Aarhus University and University of Agder, Kristiansand).
