06.10.2016 kl. 10.00 - 07.10.2016 kl. 20.00
Video ethnography has proved to be a dynamic and useful method to explore people’s practices and activities, including in educational settings but also in the study of every day practices. It typically involves the filming of naturally occurring activities to develop new knowledge and to stimulate reflections of people on their behaviours and actions. This PhD course will examine the complex negotiations required to use video ethnography in actual practice and how to make sense of this complex information.
The course will examine four particular areas: Preparation Before Field Work; Video ethnography in the Field; Transcription and coding; Analyzing the Data; and Creating Video as part of the presentation or reporting purposes.
